I am trying to add new module to my custom app.
Set up the initial module metadata →
Click Save →
Error on top appears, saying I have a module with this name.
I do not have module with this name, label or description.
When I close the new module modal, new module is not on the Modules list, however, it is present in groups section.
I am waiting quite a bit already, I have hard refreshed, tried adding this module another time but I get the same error again.

I noticed this behaviour too. It specifically happens when you choose “Copy code from existing module”.
After your refresh the browser you should see a new module with the same Label and Description as the module you copied, but with the word “Clone” on the end. This is your new module; it’s internal Name will be set according to the new module modal that you filled in, which is why you can see it in Groups.
