NOTION Watch Database Items

Dear all,
First off, Happy New Year!

I implore your help with the subject below!

I would like to update a copy of my Notion database in Google Sheets. This works well. However, I am forced to click each time on “Choose where to start / All” and then “Run Once” for it to work.

When I make a second modification in the Notion database, if I don’t select “Choose where to start / All,” the latest modification is not taken into account by the “Watch Database Items” module.

Could you please help me?
Thank you very much!

Scenario:

  • First modification in the Notion database: It works well.

  • Second modification in the Notion database: It is not taken into account by the “Watch Database Items” module.

Hi, did you make the second modification within the same minute as the first one? Database changes that happen within the same minute may be missed. If that’s not the case, let me know and we can investigate further if I can help

Hi Simo, Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.
Following your suggestion, I tried again to make a modification in the Notion database. I waited for 2 minutes and then relaunched the scenario (without clicking on “Choose where to start”). Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The new modification is not taken into account by the first module, Notion Watch a Row.

It’s not a limit issue because I set the limit to 200 (for a single modification in this test).

Do you have any other suggestion? Thanks for your help,
vian

Got it - what if you try to change the schedule from “On demand” to “Every …”?

Oh sorry, Simo, I just ran several tests again, and you’re right—it’s a delay in recording the modification. To verify that an update works properly, you need to wait after entering the modification in the database for 30 seconds to a few minutes. I’ve tried several durations, and it seems random. One thing is certain in my case: when I run the first “Run Once,” the update works. If I immediately enter a modification in Notion and then relaunch “Run Once,” it doesn’t work. So, as you rightly said, you have to wait a few seconds or minutes before entering a new modification in the Notion database, then launch “Run Once.” It’s a bit confusing, but I’ll get used to it! Thank you so much, Simo.
