Odd "failed to verify connection...service is temporarily unavailable" message with an Airtable connection

:bullseye: What is your goal?

Avoid an odd Oauth error with Airtable in the future

 What is the problem?

HI all - an OAuth connection with Airtable that I rely on for one of my scenarios broke down overnight and I received an email from Make that the scenario would be stopped. Here was the error message: “Cannot initialize the scenario because of the reason ‘Failed to verify connection ‘LeadershipLoop Primary’. Service is temporarily unavailable.’”

When I went in this morning and turned the scenario back on, everything began working fine again. I went in and clicked “verify” on the Oauth connection and it showed as verified. I also have an Airtable Pro subscription and have only used like 1700 of the 100,000 allowed API calls per month, so I’m pretty confused. Any thoughts on what this is and how it can be avoided in the future?

:test_tube: What have you tried so far?

I verified the connection and checked that I wasn’t over my API call limit in Airtable and everything was fine. The issue seemed to correct itself when I turned the scenario back on, but I can’t have this scenario randomly shutting off.

Hi @Heidi_Jaros,

There was an issue on Airtables’ side: https://status.airtable.com/

Unfortunately stuff like this happens. Nothing you can do to prevent this in the future.

Cheers,
Henk
