Hi all,
I’m new to make and trying to connected a table (actually a view) from my postgres DB and once daily have make insert a row into a google sheet. I have done this many times on zapier, but it is befuddling how to do this on make.
My postgres view has two field, day and number_of_users.
Very simply, I cannot figure out how to populate the mapping fields with these two sets of data from my postgres view.
What do I put in the two arrows below (see images) to make this work? When I have done this in Zapier, you simply click on the blank field and select the incoming data field.
I have looked all through the make documentation, all through YouTube, all through this community. I posted this same question to support and they gave me a non answer. Thanks!
Hi @Bill_Crosby - are you trying to read data from your Postgres DB and then create rows in Google Sheets from that…? If so, you need the ‘Select row(s) from a table’ PostgreSQL module - from your screenshot above it looks like you have selected the ‘Insert row into table’ module
Once you have connected the PostgreSQL ‘Select row(s) from a table’ module, you can use the output of that in the Day and Number fields in your Google Sheet.

Hi @Bill_Crosby
Welcome to Make Community!
Please follow the step as @adamturl said if that is your requirement. And the other thing is, In Make.com, If you see any field to map in watch modules/Trigger modules like I can see in your screenshot, it means you have to manually type the value there.
I hope this helps you.
