Pushing Image Upload from Webflow Form to CMS

I have a form that is connected to a CMS via Make. All other fields are passing through to the CMS except for the image upload.

I have turned off “Restrict uploaded file access” in the Form Settings within the project settings but still no luck.

The Webflow API does not allow you to submit file data to CMS items.

You can save a link, but it does not import media from anywhere.

For more information, see Create Collection Item

According to this tutorial: https://youtu.be/jBaJBYBUiK0?si=Tn1OTwZQG-v1PVw7 you can via URL.

My scenario is slightly different than his where I’m looking to use the upload feature not use a direct URL. Which is why I posted in support.

The Webflow API does not allow you to submit file data to CMS items.

Yes you can submit a URL as a text string (according to the video), but NOT upload file data.

Webflow does not allow you to do that.

This is a Webflow feature request, and has nothing to do with Make.

Okay! Someone in the comment section said they were able to get it to work by turning off Restrict uploaded file access in the form settings so I wanted to throw the scenario out here to see if it was possible as the commenter claimed.

Thanks for clearing things up.

This only makes the URL public, but does not allow you to upload the file to Webflow CMS.
