Zendesk issue connection API

Hello,

I’m trying to connect my Zendesk to Make.com
I folllowed all the steps described here.

I also checked on video this link, to be sure I did all the steps correclty.

But nevertheless I always get stopped after inserting my Zendesk Secrect in the module.
See attached the error message.

I’m sure my secret is created, my domain & Unique identifier are correct.
I tried severals times, with a day in the between.

I have no idea where the error could come from.

May you help me please?
Thank you for your support.

Hi @9090743a; the frustration of such things is terrible.

It’s possible that a bad copy and paste occured along the way. I would suggest starting fresh, as in deleting the prior work, and proceeding slowly per the https://www.make.com/en/help/app/zendesk#connect-zendesk-to-make guidance.

I don’t think it’s that in this case.

I’m also experiencing this same issue with the same error. I’ve triple checked that I’m specifying the correct credentials but I’m still getting that error.

The Zendesk changelog also shows that there’s been an update to their OAuth 2 system, so I think this might be something that has to be fixed on Make’s side.

Thank you both for your feedbacks,

ImMichaelCannon, I deleted prior work and I proceed again with your link.
I still get the same error message.

William_Qi, Thank you for the link, indeed it seems that Zendesk changed their OAuth 2 system.
Where should we make a request for Make.com to proceed to the change?

You should open a support ticket.

Hello alex.newpath,

Thank you, this is now done.
I will udpate this Page once I get a feedback.

Hello Everyone,

I heard back from Make.com’s customer support.

To successfully connect with Zendesk, you’ll need to set the “Client kind” field to “Confidential” in Zendesk.

Please refer to the screenshot below for details:

This requirement is likely due to changes Zendesk made to their API around August 2024. Make.com has since updated their documentation to prevent this issue from recurring. See the details below:
here

Thank you all, and thanks to Make.com’s customer support.
