Automatically Disabling Webhooks, how do i fix this?

Hello there, i recently have been starting to use make i have never tried zapier yet just because it seems more expensive. Anyways today i have encountered a problem that i don’t know how to fix…I have a website with a contact form which when used sents the mail to me via make, but randomly the webhook went inactive and doesn’t work anymore. After researching some i found out that its because webhooks go inactive if “make automatically deactivates webhooks that are not connected to any scenario for more than 5 days” i have also found this where someone tried to help with a big nothing burger from jun 2023.

which then refers me to an even older article from july 2022 or rather an “idea of implementation” in other words an issue that as been adressed and an improvement has been suggested but still has not been implemented.

Now i wonder if i should just switch to zapier or if there is a working solution to it ?

Hi @Lily1,

Welcome to the Make community! It is important to know that Make automatically deactivates webhooks that are not connected to any scenario for more than 5 days.

As long as you have a scenario in which you use the webhook, it shouldn’t be deactivated ever. If you go to your Webhooks, you should see this. Here you can see, in the overview (or click to open the webhook), to which scenario the webhook is linked. If there is no scenario linked, you will not see a button.

So you’ll have to make sure that the webhook is always ‘in use’ in a scenario, make sure that the scenario is active (just in case) and if you still experience issues you can contact Make support to look into it: https://www.make.com/en/ticket

Cheers,
Henk
