Creating a telegram chat bot to only answer to replies

I have created a connection on a test channel. The Bot responds and works well. When I migrate the bot to a group, will it auto-respond to all the member’s chats?

How can I ensure the bot only responds when tagged with its @ or replied to?

The bot responds to a private channel I created. Sometimes.
