Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help me find the legacy version of Twitter or, even better, how to upload a photo to a post.?? Thanks! I’m only finding the new version of Twitter. Is there a new way to upload pictures to a post?
Does the “Upload a Media” module not work?
Hi. I cannot find that module. Where did you find that? When I search I only pull up one Twitter module and there is no upload media option within that. Thanks
That’s from the integrations page linked above.
Please contact support if you cannot access it.
For bugs like this, directly contacting support can often lead to a faster resolution. They have access to your specific account details, scenario and scenario logs, server-side logs, and internal tools and resources, which allows them to investigate more thoroughly than what you have access to. I know this sounds crazy but where is the Integrations page? Once I log in I can’t find it. The link you have is when you’re not logged in. Thanks for your help
Here, the Integrations page shows the existence of the Twitter module “Upload a Media”.
so according to what I’m reading in the community help section, there’s a legacy module that I think is now missing, and this is needed to add the image ID that’s uploaded in the legacy module. Let me know if you have any experience here, Thanks again for your help
Oh, it looks like the legacy API endpoint has been discontinued by Twitter, so Twitter v5 has been discontinued by Make. The Twitter v6 integration on Make does not have an “Upload a media” module. The documentation on the public website is in need of updating.
You can request that an “Upload a media” module be created for the new version of the Twitter integration on Make, by directly contacting support. You can open a new ticket, or if you are unable to login for some reason, you also can reach support using the contact form on the website.
If the external service has a Developer API Reference/Documentation then you should be able to integrate the endpoints in Make using the app’s universal module (Make an API call) or generic HTTP “Make a request” module.
You can also suggest for it to be made in the Idea exchange. Don’t forget to search for it first, just in case someone already suggested it, so that you don’t end up creating a duplicate.
If you need assistance in setting up the app’s universal module, or the generic HTTP module, please provide additional information about what you have tried with regards to the external service’s Developer API Reference – how you are setting the connection up, a link to the endpoint are you trying to connect to, and what errors you are encountering.
If you manage to get your issue resolved, we’d still love to hear about it! Sharing your solution on the forum can help others facing similar problems.
Hey, thanks. I really appreciate your help. So just to be clear, you’re telling me that Make currently has no way to automate uploading a post with media.? I’m wondering if other people haven’t already requested this feature, as it seems like it would be used quite often. I’ve submitted it help ticket to see if they can add this feature to the new Twitter module, and I’ll update this post.
For anybody trying to find both versions of Twitter so they can upload pictures as well as text you need to click on this single Twitter icon 1st and then the second legacy version will appear. And then just follow all the instructions that can be found here in the community for setup and remember that the instructions here may be a little outdated.
