Google Keep API Access

Hi,

I’m trying to arrange API access for Make.com, following these instructions (side note, steps 3-4 need reviewing as Google changed their UI).

I’ve managed to go through the steps up to:
“11. In the Data Access section, click Add or remove scopes, add the following scopes, and click Update > Save.

only I get stuck here.

  • The URLs do not appear in the list when typed
  • Entering the URL’s manually gives me the below error:

The following scope(s) were not added because they are invalid. Please update or remove these scopes:

  • https :// www dot googleapis dot com/auth/keep
  • https :// www dot googleapis dot com /auth/keep.readonly

(edited URL’s due to posting restrictions on new accounts)

As a result, I’m unable to continue, and get stuck at Error 400: invalid_scope when trying anyway.

I’ve tried following these steps as well, but the URLs still do not appear/won’t let me add them as above.

Could someone provide further guidance please?

Hi Allan. Welcome to the Community!

Those scopes certainly seem to be correct, at least according to Google’s own documentation.

Can you confirm that you have a Google Workspace Enterprise account, and that you’re using a Google Cloud Platform service account with domain-wide delegation enabled, as noted in the instructions?

The reason you couldn’t find the scopes is because Google Keep API is an enterprise-only API, so you have to use a Google Cloud Platform service account with domain-wide delegation enabled to use the scopes.

Hey thank you yes that’s all done, so im lost for what to do.

HI We have done this, I just responded to David with photos

Did you try finding and enabling the Keep API in the Google API Library?

Did you then refresh the scopes page to see if the Keep API and scopes appeared in the table above “Manually add scopes”?

Hi David, yes I’ve been trying to work this out for weeks, hence writing this post today, I’ve been in and out of all pages many times across many days  I think it’s all refreshed

This StackOverflow post suggests that you might need to do this as a Domain Super Admin.

If that doesn’t help, as the main issue seems to be around allowing scopes within the Google Cloud Project console, I think your best route will be to raise a support ticket with Google.

Hi thanks David.
Appreciate the response but as you can see in the screen shots I shared earlier I have already added the domain wide delagation to the three required scopes. I’m not sure why you shared that last topic since I’ve already done that?
It’s a shame this is an issue.
I really enjoy using Google keep and I really want to tap into this in my automation.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Allan.

This really does look more like a Google Keep issue than a Make issue. I’d recommend raising a support ticket with Google.
