I’m the BD & Operations lead at a nonprofit social enterprise in Oklahoma City. Over the past year I’ve built several Make.com automation workflows in-house — including AI-powered donor outreach pipelines, legislative intelligence emails, CRM sync workflows with HubSpot, and ERP Sage 100, and Airtable-based prospect scoring systems. They’re working, but I need help maintaining, debugging, and improving them as our needs evolve.
I’m looking for a part-time contractor (hourly, 1099) who can step into existing scenarios, understand what’s already been built, and help me iterate. This is not a greenfield build — it’s ongoing support and incremental improvement.
What I need help with:
Maintaining and troubleshooting existing Make scenarios
Integrating AI (Claude/OpenAI API) into workflows
HubSpot and Airtable integration work
Occasional new build support
Ideal fit:
Strong Make.com experience (bonus: Airtable, HubSpot, AI API integrations)
Comfortable working asynchronously with a non-developer stakeholder
Available for light ongoing hours (est. 5–10 hrs/month to start)
Affordable hourly rate — this is a nonprofit organization
If this sounds like a fit, reply here or DM me. Happy to share more context about the workflows and what’s already built.
Hello @Avery_Oden , welcome to make.com community, I have worked and have experience with Make.com and l will love to collaborate with you on this you can schedule a call Here and you can checkout my upwork profile Here, for my pastworks and certifications
Hi @Avery_Oden , this is a great fit for how I typically work.
I specialize in stepping into existing Make setups, understanding the logic quickly, and improving reliability, especially around debugging, AI integrations, and data flow between tools like HubSpot and Airtable.
I’ve worked on similar systems where the focus was maintaining and iterating rather than rebuilding fixing edge cases, improving performance, and making workflows easier to manage as they evolve.
I’m comfortable working async, keeping things simple, and supporting on a light ongoing basis.
Your workflow stack sounds very interesting, especially the AI powered donor outreach and the HubSpot and Airtable integrations. I work extensively with Make automation systems and often help clients maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing scenarios as their operations grow.
I also have experience integrating AI APIs like OpenAI and Claude into automation workflows, as well as handling CRM synchronization and scenario optimization.
You can check out some of my previous work here in my website portfolio .
If you’d like to discuss the workflows you already have in place, feel free to DM me here.
I came across your requirement for a non-profit organization and would be happy to support you. I can help maintain your current setup while also suggesting improvements to optimize your workflows.
Why consider me?
• 5+ years building automation and content workflows using Make.com, Zapier, GHL, n8n
• Certified Make.com, Zapier, n8n, Airtable EXPERT
• Recognized as a Make.com Community Contributor
• Experience integrating Make with AI tools, content generation systems, and customer management platforms
Have sent you a DM as well. Would love to help you with the automations and support and help you leverage automations and AI at the non profit. It’s really great to see that you were able to manage it till now being a non technical person but I can understand your need to bring a professional in to scale even better.
I run an automation studio called Automation Jinn where we help companies automate their processes and increase efficiency. I am Make advanced certified, Airtable Certified builder with a background in computer science so quite comfortable in integrating API and custom code. I have experience working with both SMB’s and large enterprises.
Some of my relevant work-
• For an education company, I integrated LearnWorlds with Airtable, Make, and Pipedrive via API handling complex pagination and syncing data in real time.
• For a digital agency, I set up a smart call-routing system using Twilio and Airtable fully automating lead handling.
• For a bakery brand with a large social following, I implemented chatbots integrated with a custom CRM in Airtable and automation workflows to handle orders and FAQs saving hours of manual coordination every day.
Would love to learn about your current Make workflows and your day to day operations
I read your post and I love the mission. Stepping into existing systems to optimize and “bulletproof” them is exactly what I do. I understand that for a nonprofit, reliability and cost-effectiveness are key, and I’m happy to offer an affordable hourly rate for consistent, high-quality support.
How I can support your operations:
Make.com Mastery: I’m highly comfortable with complex scenarios, including Error Handling, Data Stores, and Aggregators. I can quickly audit your current builds to ensure they are running optimally.
Deep Integrations: I have extensive experience syncronizing HubSpot and Airtable, specifically for lead/prospect scoring and CRM data integrity.
AI Implementation: I specialize in orchestrating Claude/OpenAI APIs within Make to automate personalized outreach and data intelligence.
Non-Dev Friendly: I’m used to working as a technical partner for non-developer stakeholders. I provide clear documentation and video walkthroughs so you always know how your “digital workers” are performing.
A bit about me: I’m an automation engineer focused on building stable, scalable backends. My own infrastructure (including my website and booking system) is fully automated, which you can see here: https://mikedevai.netlify.app/
Availability: The 5–10 hours/month range is perfect for my current schedule. I’m available for a 1099 remote contract and can start by auditing one of your existing scenarios to show you how I work.
This sounds like a great fit. I work with SMBs building and maintaining Make.com automations — including Claude and OpenAI API integrations, which I use daily in my own workflows.
A few things that might be relevant:
I maintain ongoing Make scenarios for multiple clients, so I’m used to async debugging and keeping things running
I’ve built HubSpot + Make integrations for lead routing and CRM sync
I actively use Claude API for document processing and classification — happy to share examples
I’m comfortable with nonprofit-friendly rates and the 5-10h/month structure. DM me and I can share some past work.
Hi Avery. This looks like a good fit for a small ongoing support block: existing Make scenarios, HubSpot/Airtable, AI API steps, CRM sync, and incremental debugging rather than a full rebuild.
If international contractor setup is workable on your side, I would start with one paid support slice: review 1-2 existing scenarios, identify failure points or high-maintenance modules, make one safe improvement with test data, and leave a short change note so you can maintain it later.
For a nonprofit budget, I would keep the first block narrow and practical. Which workflow is causing the most pain right now: donor outreach, legislative intelligence emails, HubSpot sync, Sage 100, or Airtable scoring?

Hi @Avery_Oden
Interested discussing further on your project hiring.
Please connect If you are still open
This sounds like a maintenance and reliability lane, not a rebuild.
For the first support slice I would pick one existing scenario, trace the current trigger and field map, identify the failing or high-maintenance modules, add a small run log/error path, and make one safe improvement with test data. That gives you a practical signal before committing to ongoing hours.
The nonprofit budget constraint makes sense. I would keep the first block narrow: donor outreach, legislative intelligence emails, HubSpot sync, Sage 100, or Airtable scoring. Whichever one is causing the most pain should go first.
TinyOps Studio can take a fixed initial audit/support block and then move into light monthly maintenance if the first slice is useful. If this is still open, DM me the scenario that breaks most often and the current error or symptom, and I can scope the first block.
Hi Avery, this sounds like a good fit for a light maintenance/support block rather than a rebuild. I can help with existing Make scenarios, HTTP/webhooks, HubSpot/Airtable/Sheets/Gmail-style flows, Claude/OpenAI steps, error paths, run logs and small safe improvements. Given the nonprofit budget constraint, I would keep the first block narrow: 4-6 hours at 55 USD/hour to review one scenario, trace the trigger/field map, identify the main failure or high-maintenance point, make one safe change with test data, and leave a short change note/runbook. If useful after that, we can move into 5-10 hours/month. I am based in Spain/CET and comfortable async. If this is still open, send the workflow causing the most pain and one recent failure symptom, and I can scope the first support block.
