How to Upload "Physical" Images from Dropbox automatically to Buffer.com via Make?

Hello Community,
I am working on a Make scenario to embed images from my Dropbox into social media posts through Buffer.com. However, I’ve encountered the following problem:

The images are only accepted as URLs, and I am unable to automatically upload them “physically” from Dropbox to Buffer. This means I can’t pass the images as files (e.g., to Facebook) through Buffer.

Using an HTTP module in Make, I can successfully download the image from Dropbox, and the binary data is available. However, this binary data cannot be used in the Buffer module “Create a Status Update.” Buffer only accepts links, and I have not found a way to transmit the “physical” image to Buffer.

Is there a solution to upload the actual image to Buffer?

Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Stephan

Welcome to the Make community!

You’ll have to first upload the image to a service that provides you with a direct link to the image file.

Examples of such services include Imgur, Flickr, and Cloudinary.

You can also use Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, etc.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.
