What is your goal?
I want to receive Instagram comments in Make using the Instagram for Business (Facebook login) “Watch events” webhook.
What is the problem & what have you tried?
When I create a webhook for Instagram for Business (Facebook login), the Page field shows “No data available”, so I cannot select my Facebook Page.
I have checked the Meta setup and tried the following:
- My Facebook Page and Instagram Business account are connected.
- Both are in the same Meta Business Portfolio.
- My Facebook user has Full access to the Facebook Page.
- My Instagram account also has Full access.
- Make has the required permissions, including access to the Page list, Page content, Instagram comments, Page settings and webhooks.
- The existing Facebook connection in Make passes Verify successfully.
- I reauthorised the connection.
- I also created a completely new Instagram for Business connection, but the Page field still shows “No data available”.
- The webhook Queue remains at 0.
- I tested by posting a new comment on Instagram, but no webhook request was received.
Facebook Page: “Изабелла Кильдяшева AI + реклама”
Instagram Business account: @vzlet_ads_ai
Event: Comments
Make scenario: “01 - Instagram Incoming DM”
Webhook: “Instagram Comments”
Could you please help me determine why Make is not receiving/returning my Facebook Page in the Page dropdown?
Error messages or input/output bundles
The Page field in “Create a webhook” displays: “No data available”.
The existing webhook Queue remains at 0 after posting a new Instagram comment.
The connection verifying successfully tells you nothing about asset access, so I would first find out what Make actually sees instead of reconnecting again.
Add a Facebook Pages “Make an API Call” module on the same connection and call GET /me/accounts. If the data array comes back empty, the problem is entirely on the Meta side and nothing you change inside Make will fix it. That one test saves a lot of guessing.
Three things produce exactly this symptom even when your own user has full access.
First, the Page was not ticked in the Meta login dialog. Your user having access to the Page is not the same as the app having access to that asset. Meta asks you to select pages during authorisation, and if that specific Page was not opted in, the dropdown stays empty while the connection still verifies fine.
Second, the assets sit in a Business Portfolio. Then the app also needs access granted at portfolio level in the business settings, in addition to your personal role on the Page.
Third, the Instagram account was set up with Instagram login rather than through the Facebook Page. Those accounts exist without a Page behind them and will never show up in a page based dropdown. The Instagram for Business modules that use Facebook login need the professional account linked from the Instagram side as well, not only from the Page side.
Two more things worth ruling out: that you are logged into Make with the same Facebook user that holds the Page role, and that the Page is actually published.
On the queue staying at 0, that is a separate problem from the empty dropdown. For the subscription to deliver you need pages_manage_metadata on top of the read scopes. Without it the webhook is created and then simply never receives anything, which matches what you describe.
Core.iq_GmbH is absolutely right here. Meta’s asset access is usually the culprit even when the Make connection says ‘verified’. Running that GET /me/accounts API call directly inside Make is definitely the best way to debug the token scopes
