Issue with Monday Complexity Limit 60s Reset

Hi everyone,

Where I work we’ve been using Monday to manage our projects, but we’re encountering a recurring issue with the complexity limit. With approximately 40 boards containing numerous items and subitems, and as we’re in the process of setting up a data warehouse, we find ourselves needing to query the entire information regularly throughout the day. However, every time we make these queries, we encounter an error stating that the complexity budget is exhausted, and we have to wait for a 60-second reset.

That was a simple scenario to obtain a board’s items, we’ve tried several approaches to address this issue, including making queries more efficiently and experimenting with Make.com, but the problem persists. Waiting for the reset is not a desirable solution for us.

So, my question to the community is: Is there a way to bypass the complexity budget with Make? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Depending on how your scenario is set up there are 2 options

  1. Add the sleep module to your automation.

  2. Switch on Sequential processing in your scenario (See Screenshot below)

Hope this helps

Hi Ivan

I had a client with similar issue - they wanted to get data across to SnowFlake and the limits were a problem. Contacting Monday directly there is a SnowFlake connector that I think is in beta that they are now using that is able to migrate data without hitting the same limits. I would contact you Monday account manager and see if they have similar connector for the warehouse you are using.
