Make.com is not fetching few leads from Facebook, Randomly

Hi I am using make.com for searching leads from Facebook to AirTable and Google sheets.

However I have noticed since last one week there are some instances where make.com is not fetching few leads out of all the leads that I get.

Weir thing is that it is fetching sometimes and sometimes it is not fetching.

From 5th of July till 12th out of almost 167 leads I have not received it in leads when I did at tally between Facebook and Air table database.

When I did debugging I found that the scenario did not fire itself

I have multiple webhooks and different form, I have noticed that this is happening across.

This is definitely not acceptable, as I am missing the important leads.

You can see in the history, this scenario only have run for 16 times however I have 25 leads in facebook on 11th Jul

How do you handle errors in your scenario?

Have you checked the Webhooks logs?

How to do it:

  1. Webhooks:
    SC_1

  2. Find your leads webhook

  3. Go to logs:
    SC_2

The webhook should be triggered the same number of times as you get leads.

Hello @Sanjay_Shah welcome to the Make Community and thank you for raising this here.

I just wanted to let you know that we are currently checking this issue with the development team. We’ll make sure to update you as soon as there’s any information to be shared.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding throughout this process

Meanwhile, you can use “Facebook/watch leads” module.

After setting up the page and Form id, you can right click on module >> choose where to start >> choose manually and you can there select the leads which got missing and pushed to the flow.

I dont see the logs options in Webbooks, but as you can see in the screen above, scenario didnt trigger for 9 out of 25 times.

I have only got 16 leads in AirTable from 25 on Facebook.

OK, I will try this, however I need a fix ASAP, as missing a lead is a big problem and potential revenue loss for us.

Also, its a painful task now to do the lead by lead matching.

We have just switched from Zapier to make.com and this experience is definitely questioning the trust / reliability of the make.com system.

This is completely disrupting the operations, I guess you need to have robust system to ensure basics are in place, probably now I understand why Zapier is Zapier, have been using it since 6 months n never had this issue.

Any update?? We are losing lot of leads

This is seriously impacting our business, its a nightmare to match the leads manually, even manual fetching is not fetching recent leads but its fetching old leads randomly.

This is impacting the business, if its not going to fix please let me know, we will switch back to Zapier.

Did my research and found out that it‘s not only a make problem but a worldwide meta issue.

You can check them Meta developers community where the bug is reported since wednesday - unfortunately Meta didn‘t do anything till now.

@Make - any updates?

Hello everyone @here

Thank you very much for your patience

We conducted an internal check with the development team and found that the issue does not originate on our end.

In our investigation, we found that this is a global issue originating from Meta as several other users have reported the same issue to Meta. You can check here - https://developers.facebook.com/community?category=999797764203651 We recommend subscribing to the particular thread to get further information on it.

One of the community users has also reported this as a bug to Meta developer: Log into Facebook. You can also subscribe to the bug report for further updates.

Please note that we are also in contact with Meta and reported this from our side.
While Meta is investigating this, “Facebook leads ads/watch leads” is the way to retrieve the missing lead.

You can right click on Watch Leads module >> Select Choose Where to Start from >> Specify the date from which you want to fetch the leads:

If you have any follow-up questions, please open a ticket with us for further assistance.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we will share further updates once we hear from Meta on this.

Hello everyone,

I am just quickly stepping in to let you know that the issue with Facebook Lead Ads has now been resolved by the Meta team.

As part of their investigations, the Meta team has identified missed leads and will begin backfilling them. We have emailed all impacted Make users with an update and will now close this issue.

If you need additional support, please open a ticket with us.

Hi Michaela,

Facebook is indeed backfilling all the leads! The problem we have is that we’ve manually added all the missing leads to our system (by downloading them directly from Facebook) over the last 2 weeks. The backfilling is thus causing duplicates to be added to the system. In addition, Facebook is not only sending the missing leads across to Make.com once, but twice, after 9 hours!! So they are getting duplicated twice! Plus, if that’s not enough, Facebook also send a lead across to us that enquired on Facebook back in April so it’s including that in the backfilling!!! What an absolute nightmare!!!

Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello @TrinityLife welcome to the Make Community.

As mentioned in the email communication we sent out last week, here’s what you can do:

Workarounds implemented

  • If you continued using the “Facebook Lead Ads - New Lead” module, and processed missed leads manually, you may encounter duplicates due to the automatic backfilling of missed leads.

  • If you started using the “Watch Leads” module, processed leads manually, and plan to switch back to the “Facebook Lead Ads - New Lead” module, the backfill will occur after the switch and may result in duplicates of manually processed leads.

  • If you started using the “Watch Leads” module, processed leads manually, and want to continue using this module, no further action is needed. Missed leads won’t be backfilled in this case.

:pushpin::pushpin: For more details on how to avoid duplicates, please see our guide here.
