Pinterest Create Pin Error

Im trying to create a new Pin on Pinterest using an image generated using openAi module and some post text.

But each time I get an error:

it says this site (which I assume is referring to make.com) cant save pins, does that mean this module does not work anymore.

Nope, it means that you cannot create pins with the website bit.ly

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Are you sure?

I Removed the connection and reconnect after checking things

I changed the link to a direct link to my website and see the same error:

Looks like it’s a connection issue, which was discussed here: [400] {"code":1,"message":"Sorry! This site doesn't allow you to save Pins."}

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Hey I think i figured it out.

Based on what you said about bit.ly links.

There was a bit.ly link in the description too.

So I removed this and the Pin was posted. So its not to do with the connection.

Thanks

I emailed Pinterest about this and they said to not use Make.com but use their official API of manual PIN posting…

Yeah, but that defeats the point of me paying for and using make for automation…

So I looked into the issue more.

I found it wasn’t just bit.ly links but even Spotify links and then links to my own sites. Sometimes they would go through, but lots of time you get the error:

So in case it helps anyone, i think the issue is with the Media source image link, which in my case was the link given by OpenAi Image generation module. I think that sucks because it then means having to download the file somewhere myself, getting the new direct link and then using that the the Create Pin Pinterest module… :slightly_frowning_face:
