Remove.bg module only produces low quality images

The remove.bg module produces low-quality (preview mode) images regardless of the size option I choose in the module configuration. There is also a positive credit balance on the remove.bg platform, but it does not deduct credits, it deducts preview mode attempts…

Welcome to the Make community!

You are probably downloading the wrong file.

Try looking at the output bundle of the module before the download module to see the various file options.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Hey @Artur_Rozenblat ,

It sounds like the issue might be with the file you’re downloading. As @samliew mentioned, check the output bundle of the module before the download step—you might find different file options there. Sometimes, the preview image gets selected by default instead of the full-resolution version.

If that doesn’t resolve it, you could also consider trying other vendors that always provide high-resolution output at the original size. One option is Picsart’s Remove Background and Change Background modules. These modules are designed to deliver high-res results without forcing you into preview mode limitations.

The upside is that you get higher-quality images at a competitive cost, and they’re pretty easy to set up and configure. The only tradeoff is that preview generations aren’t free, but since you’re looking for higher-res output anyway, this likely won’t be an issue in your case.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details or guidance on setting things up.

Cheers!
