I can’t seem to complete what seems like a simple scenario: renaming files in subfolders of a main folder in Google Drive.
I’ve tried using “watch,” “search,” or “list files,” but I never manage to succeed.
The main folder is in Drive. Each time there’s a new client, a folder is created inside this main folder with the following structure: LASTNAME Firstname ClientNumber, and two documents are added to the folder: a CV and a cover letter.
I’d like to rename these two files by using the folder name (LASTNAME Firstname ClientNumber) and adding either CV or CL (keywords from the name of the imported document).
In this simple scenario, it works if I place the file directly in the main folder, but not when I put it in the relevant subfolder.
Does anyone have an idea?
Bonjour
You should use “rename a file/folder” module from google drive. You will have to use separate module for each file. Or you can create a App Script. Hope this helps.
