Scenario based on Notion database record change

What are you trying to achieve?

Hello

I built an involved Notion system with dozens of databases. I’m looking to create a Make scenario that runs when a formula changes. Zapier doesn’t support this feature—and I’m not totally sure that Make does. Relay.app does.

See screenshots.

For the life of me, I can’t get this to work.

Thank you.

Phil

Steps taken so far

Created the scenario and tested it to no avail.

And here is the Notion dB.

Hi Phil,
What’s not working?

PS. The “Watch database items” module only detects updates made by a user or a connection/bot. When a formula changes without any user action, that’s not considered an update by Notion.

The scenario/trigger wasn’t working. Sorry for not making that clear.

Oddly, your response makes sense and tracks with how Zapier handles these non-events. It’s strange that Relay.app lets you do this.

Maybe you can achieve your vision by using the “Search objects” module (that would regularly poll the database) and filtering by the formula property.

Interesting about relay.app, is there any documentation about that?

I’m not sure if there’s documentation. Here’s a screenshot. When the narrator uploads the MP3, I send an action to a different dB with a notifification tied to new pages/records.
