Hi Team,
We need clarification on our HubSpot integration via Make. Instead of creating a Deal object, we want to create a Lead object first and then manually convert it into a Deal once a meeting is booked. This aligns with our inbound process and helps with reporting.
Key Issues:
-
Make Integration Limitation: It seems Make does not support creating Leads in HubSpot, only Contacts, Accounts, and Deals.
-
Lead Status vs. Lead Type:
- “Lead Status” is a HubSpot-defined property for the Lead object and cannot be edited.
- “Lead Type” is a custom property we created and is separate from “Lead Status.”
-
Current Make Workflow Issue:
- The last step in Make updates the Contact object’s “Lead Status” to “Corebits,” but this is incorrect since “Lead Status” belongs to the Lead object.
- Instead, we propose updating the Contact object’s “Lead Creator” property to “Corebits” (as this is an unused, editable property).
Please how do I Update my Make scenario to modify the Contact’s “Lead Creator” property to “Corebits.” ?
Can you please tell me how to get this done? Also, is there a way to test how Leads are currently being added under the “Tools” section in Make?
Thanks,
Lydia
