I’ve managed to (almost) find a magical solution to get my Substack subscribers into my ActiveCampaign list, but there’s a tiny snag. Based on the scenario below, I was imagining I’d get all new emails added to my Gmail folder added into ActiveCampaign. But it seems that the scenario is just grabbing any random subscriber emails from inside that folder, instead of only new ones. So I’ve had subscribers yesterday, and they’ve not yet been added. Any advice? Thanks in advance!!
Here’s my scenario (runs every 15 mins):
Step 1 - Gmail. Folder: my free Substack subscribers folder (I set up a filter in Gmail to put all free subs into this folder). Filter type: simple. Criteria: all emails.
Step 2 - Tools. Variable = the email address of the subscriber.
Step 3 - AC. Create or update a contact.
Step 4 - AC. Update contact’s list status (to add them to my Substack list).
Step 5 - AC. Add a tag to the contact.
