I am trying to make an automation that goes through the following process.
create a task in todoist (my automation uses this event as a trigger using todoist webhook)
grab priority, labels, and due dates from that task
create a database item in notion
I have been able to accomplish this yesterday except the date part. However, for some reason the 1st module in the automation which is a to to foist trigger that reacted instantly to newly created tasks, seems to not work anymore.
It just continuously says it is waiting for data which I already sent by creating a new task in to todoist.
I saw a similar post about 10 hours ago about the todoist webhook not working properly⌠is there a problem right now?
Also, the second question is how can I get a due date from the task in todoist and switch that to a due date in a notion database item?
Could you please share screenshots of the module fields and filters in question? It would really help other community members to see what youâre looking at.
You can also export the scenario blueprint file to allow others to replicate the issue. At the bottom of the scenario editor, you can click on the three dots to find the Export Blueprint menu item.
If possible, could you also please provide the input/output bundles of the modules by running the scenario, then clicking the bubble on the top-right of each module, taking screenshots of, and copying the contents into this discussion thread:
This will allow others to better assist you. Thanks!
It isnât actually possible to see those bubbles as the scenario canât seem to even get through the first module. There is no error message there is just nothing but a comment saying the module is waiting for dataâŚ
I attached a screenshot and a json file as you explained.

Thank you so much for raising this in the community
A few weeks back, we were facing some issues with Todoist webhooks. The Todoist team confirmed that the issue was on their end, and it should now be resolved and stable. You can find more details in the âHistoryâ section of their status page.
@P.Wiggers, could you please let us know the zone your Make account is on? If itâs EU, we faced some webhooks and mailhooks issues, but everything should be running smoothly now. Our team continues to monitor the situation, and you can find all the details on our status page.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience and frustration this may have caused.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
Thanks for responding. I am indeed in the EU and things seem to be running again.
Getting started with a new product when it is facing difficulties is not the best introduction but there is a lot of potential. Letâs forget the issues for now and I will give a renewed try to see how things are going.
@P.Wiggers Thanks for confirming your zone and the fact that things are up and running again.
I completely understand that the initial experience might not have been ideal, but Iâm genuinely thrilled to hear that youâre planning to stick with us. Itâs great to hear that you see the potential Make has.
Feel free to stop by the community anytime to share your automation progress with us
@Michaela I just started using Make yesterday and Iâm trying to create my first scenario but I am having the same issue described above. I add an item to my list in Todoist but the event does not trigger. When I run it manually the log says âwaiting for dataâ. I am in the US. Is there any other solution?
Currently, there are no reported issues with Todoist/webhooks. It appears that the challenge youâre facing might be specific to your setup. But hey, the community is here to help
To get the best assistance, I recommend starting a new conversation about the problem youâre facing. In the community, itâs generally more effective to start a fresh topic for each new question rather than commenting on older threads. When you initiate a new conversation, youâre more likely to catch the communityâs attention and receive the help you need.
