Understanding Abstraction in the Context of Make and Workflow Automation

As someone who is just starting out with automation and using Make as a self-employed individual, the first item on my agenda, as per a step-by-step guide, is to develop abstraction skills.

I generally understand what abstraction means in a broader sense, but I’m curious about its specific implications in the context of Make and workflow automation.

Does it involve process modeling using a tool and the mental capacity to comprehend these processes? I want to grasp how abstraction skills are relevant in this context.

as you are just starting out I think the mindset to understand and categorize process can only be achieved through practice and for mapping out the processes, simple text should be enough for now
