Hey everyone,
I’m having a bit of an issue with my scenario that uses the “Watch Posts” trigger for WordPress. It used to work perfectly fine—new blog posts would automatically trigger the scenario, and it would post the article link to a Discord channel.
But last week, it just… stopped. I haven’t changed anything, and the scenario is still set to “ON” with the “From now” option selected in the “Watch Posts” module.
Here’s the weird part: when I switch to “Select manually,” I can see all my recent posts, and if I select one and hit “Run once,” it works perfectly and posts to Discord like it’s supposed to. So, the connection with WordPress and the full process seems to be working.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
1. Confirmed the scenario is active.
2. Double-checked the WordPress connection (it works manually).
3. Made sure the trigger is set to “From now” for new posts.
Despite all that, the trigger just doesn’t seem to fire automatically anymore. Any idea what’s going on or how I can fix this? I’d really appreciate any advice!
Thanks a ton!
Welcome to the Make community!
This might be an issue with the Make Wordpress API Plugin for Wordpress.
For technical issues or bugs like this, directly contacting support can often lead to a faster resolution. They have access to your specific account details, scenario and scenario logs, server-side logs, and internal tools and resources, which allows them to investigate more thoroughly than what you have access to.
You can open a new ticket here, or if you are unable to login for some reason, you can create another new free account to access the ticketing system (which is only available to logged-in users). After submitting a new ticket, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with the subject “Ticket Created” in the subject. If you do not receive this, try sending the ticket again.
If you manage to get your issue resolved with support, we’d still love to hear about it! Sharing your solution on the forum can help others facing similar problems.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.
