I understand that you are having trouble with your emails being blocked due to the SPF record of your domain. I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not able to provide you with a specific answer, but I can suggest that you reach out to our community members for help. They may be able to provide you with more information and advice. Thank you for your patience.
Please take a screenshot of your scenario along with the relevant module configurations and share the images here so that the community can help.
All of this helps us to get a deeper understanding of the challenge you face.

I thought I just did that?!!!
Am I missing something???
@kevinleesmith sorry the bot wasn’t playing nice
To use the Email app you will need to enter an email account. It works as an Email client. That being said, you will need to configure your SPF according to the settings of the server the account is on. Emails are sent through that (your own) server.
As the emails are not sent by Make you do not have to add Make to your SPF records.
P.S. If you want to check your SPF/DMARC settings, Domain Health Check - Online Domain Tools - Blacklist, Email, Website, DNS - MxToolBox is a good place to start and check for issues.
the bot is a new addition “it’s still learning” (@Michaela FYI!)
What email module are you using? Just to echo what @Arnoud_WorkNinjas said - Make doesn’t send emails… it sends the instruction for your email provider to send the email. WHere have you migrated from?
yeah thanks IanM - it was me being stupid!
My SPF problem turned out to be nothing to do with make as you and Ian say, it was caused by 1and1/ionos in that their dashboard told me the domain was using their name servers when in fact they were using wix name servers! (that didnt have an spf record for 1and1 - which is where the MX records point to) That sent me down a rabbit hole.
My final problem that then caused me to post the Q here was that becasue 1and1 blocked that email account and forced me to change the password, i forgot to change the password in the make connection, hence i got a load of errors again - which i (stupidly) assumed was the same problem.
Anyway - all sorted now (fingers crossed!)
Just quickly jumping in to say thanks so much for the tag @IainM.
We’ve only been testing this ‘bot’ for a couple of days with the intention of seeing how it reacts to the community and continuously improving the replies.
The main goal here is to train the bot so that it helps folks ask questions with as many details and information as possible. Thanks to that, the community can then better jump in and lend a helping hand because we know the full story.
We 100% recognize that there’s a lot of progress to be made but please bear with us. We’re doing this to ultimately make the community experience smoother.
Thanks for everyone’s involvement
great. well done for finding that issue
