What is your goal?
Reconect my old numbers in whatsapp API in the new process
What is the problem & what have you tried?
I connected to WhatsApp Business Cloud using the previous connection method, which required connecting to the WhatsApp API.
Now I want to reconnect with the same number, but the new process isn’t working because it says my number doesn’t have a WhatsApp Business account.
Do I need to delete my old apps where I have the numbers registered with the WhatsApp API and create a new WhatsApp Business account to connect with the same number?
When I start the new Make and WhatsApp integration process and enter the number using the API connection, Facebook gives me the option to continue with a number from the WhatsApp API (first screenshot).
When I click to start the process with the number from the WhatsApp API and enter the number, Facebook says the number doesn’t have a WhatsApp Busin
Screenshots (scenario flow, module settings, errors)
It seems that your number is registered under the WhatsApp API (On-Premises) and not a WhatsApp Business App, so Meta’s flow correctly flags it as “not found” when you go through the standard path. The API link at the bottom of the error is the correct migration entry point for your situation.
If clicking the link does not help with your flow, you’ll have to go into the Meta Business Manager → WhatsApp Accounts → find your On-Premises number → and use the Cloud API migration option from there before retrying in Make.
If your number doesn’t have a WhatsApp Business API account, you’ll need to first sign up for it using this number and then return to this configuration screen you shared.
If you don’t want to do that, you can connect your number via QR code and still be able to automate WhatsApp using the many integrations that support this method. For example, 2Chat.

Yup. Same issue - why has make.com done this? I ahve multiple apps and ways of sending whatsapp - not just make.com, to force the new process is painful!
