Instagram for Business app is pulling from Facebook Page rather than Instagram accounts

I got the notice that the Instagram app and its modules were to be deprecated and I need to switch my account to a Business or Creator one, and then swap in the Instagram for Business app’s modules for my scenerio to keep working.

Only 4 days notice seems a bit short, but okay.

I went ahead and changed my personal Instagram account to a Creator one, but when I connect the Instagram for Business app, it seems to latch onto making a Facebook connection rather than an Instagram one. It lists my business page on Facebook, but not my Creator Instagram account.

I tried following the steps here by deleting the connections and website data for make.com/instagram.com/facebook.com and even tried in private browsing mode. No luck. It brings up a Facebook login screen and won’t budge from that connection.

Any ideas? The regular Instagram app is going to be deprecated tomorrow. :slightly_frowning_face:

Hello @heyjarrod, I am very sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing. I just wanted to step in with a couple of notes that could help:

  • Can you please confirm that your Instagram account has Page Publishing Authorization (PPA)?
  • Also, if your Instagram account is connected to a Meta page, you must be an admin of that Meta page.
  • Additionally, you can visit this link to ensure all necessary permissions are granted to the Make app for your Instagram account.
