How do i create a Pipedrive trigger when a deal moves to a certain stage?
the “watch deals” gives an option to trigger when a deal is updated, and a filter for when it is in a certain stage, but that does not sound like it will trigger specifically WHEN it is updated to that stage, rather it will trigger with any update to the deal while it is in that stage.

I had this problem some time ago and couldn’t find a solution other than to take the trigger and add the filter to the scenario. (Only when this stage is selected should it continue).

thanks for the reply! i am not sure i understand what your filter is, i do not see an option in filter “when stage is selected”, and either way how would that help me, i want when stage updated not selected
Create a filter that checks whether the phase of the deal corresponds to the desired stage.
Something like this.
Thanks again for your help. I still need help understanding what is this filter because this would seem to just filter that the deal is sitting in this stage but not specifically that it triggers when it moves to that stage.
I see you are using the New Deal event trigger. I can’t seem to understand how that trigger works. It’s asking for a web hook and I’m new at this, does that trigger when a deal stage is updated? How would I set that up?

When you set up the webhook, you will get a webhook that looks like this.
Using the current and previous data, you can create a filter that will only allow items to proceed if a deal is required for your case.
So just to clarify, in my case that I need to filter that the deal got updated to a certain stage, I would filter that previous stage does not equal the stage that i am trying to filter for (Previous: Stage ID), and the current stage DOES match. i did this and it worked, i had to run a test output to see what the number Pipedrive gave to the stage I was filtering for, it is a random number and not a text.
