Unclear email from Make

Received below email from Make:

Issue: the steps in the email appear incorrect. We cannot replicate any aspect of the instructions or issues described in the email in our make account.

Goal: Make - please issue another email with clear and accurate instructions that can be replicated.

Starting February 6, 2024, our Facebook and Facebook Pages apps will require additional OAuth scopes to be used. You need to extend your connection permissions to be able to keep using these modules after February 6, 2024 when Meta is releasing API update restrictions.

To ensure that your scenarios continue running smoothly, we recommend opening your scenario and extending your connections for newly added scopes. If you have multiple connections for the Facebook and Facebook Pages apps, you will need to extend all of them.

When you open a module in your scenario that requires this action, you will be shown the following:

To get helpful responses

  • explain your goal with as much context as possible
  • mention any steps you’ve tried so far

Include screenshots of

  • your scenario setup (functions, mappings, variables, etc.)
  • module configurations and outputs
  • any error messages you are getting

Looks like only part of the email was shared. Could you provide the full email with images here so that the rest of us can see what going on?

We replied to the email and sent it to support. No response from them. That’s why we posted here.

I don’t get the impression we’ll get any support here either… But thanks for your cut and paste nonetheless.

Hello @schoolreadinglist thank you for raising this

I’m sorry that you did not find the instructions in the email we sent clear enough. Hopefully, this will be helpful.

If you were already using this scope (some modules already requested it), nothing needs to be done. If you do not see the “extend scopes” popup as described in the email, no action is needed on your end.
