Webhook bug: Can't add Content-Type header for Meta verification

Hey everyone!

My name is Christian, and I’m a new Make user testing the platform to connect my Meta (WhatsApp) account and receive messages. I’m really excited about the possibilities, but I’ve hit a roadblock that has me completely stuck!

I’m currently in the process of verifying my webhook with Meta. For the verification to work, my “Webhook response” module needs to return the hub.challenge with a Content-Type: text/plain header.

The problem is that the UI won’t let me add the header. I’ve recorded some screenshots that show it clearly:

  • The input field for the header’s value just doesn’t appear.

  • I’ve tried typing it manually, using the new “Fill by AI” feature, and even deleting and recreating the module, but nothing works!

  • I also tried in incognito mode and a different browser, but the bug is still there.

It seems to be a visual bug with the platform, and I really need your help to figure this out. If anyone knows a workaround or has experienced something similar, please lend a hand. I don’t want this to stop me from moving forward with my project.

Hi @Christian,

welcome to the community and welcome to the Makers Group :wink:

I assume you use the normal “webhook” module as the trigger, right?
Do you then place the “webhook response” module after it?
In the webhook response module, you do have an option to enable ‘advanced settings’. There you have the option to set custom headers. Maybe that’s the solution already? :slight_smile:

I’ve already tried enabling the “Show advanced settings” option, but unfortunately, the input field for the Content-Type header’s value just doesn’t appear. It seems to be a visual bug with the platform that’s preventing me from saving the module.

I’ve attached some screenshots to show you what I’m seeing on my end.
