Google Docs connection: How to ensure I get asked which Google account I want to use?

With my Google Drive restricted connection, I get asked for which Google account I want to use, and I can choose my work Google account, rather than my main private Google account.
The work Google account is what I have set up with Google Cloud.
So everything works with the Google Drive restricted connection.

But with Google Docs, I get to make a Google connection (no “Google restricted”), and when trying to authorize access (with Google Docs API enabled, the data access scopes set, the redirect_URIs set, Make and Integromat authorized), it tries to use my main private Google account, never asking me to select any Google account. And then it fails.

How can I ensure that I get asked which Google account I want to use?

Welcome to the Make community!

Try logging in to Make in a private incognito window. This also means that there will be no stored Google cookies and you will be asked to sign in to an account when trying to set up a connection.

This is the surest way to get it done correctly the first time.

The alternative is to completely sign out of all Google accounts before connecting on your usual window, but that’s more effort if you are already signed in to one.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues. P.S.: investing some effort into the tutorials in the Make Academy will save you lots of time and frustration using Make!

Hi,
logging in to Make in a private incognito window worked.
I got then asked to select my Google account, and everything works fine :).
Thanks a lot!
Pete
